The Larson Electronics MGL-100C-480-15K-120-208Y-12X20 Temporary Power Distribution System converts 480 VAC three phase electrical current to 120V AC and 208Y AC 60hz. This power distribution system provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 480VAC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power. This portable substation is suitable for outdoor applications, with a fully potted transformer and Nema 3R load center. This power distribution system is configured to transform 480V 3 phase to 120/208Y.
The MGL-100C-480-15K-120-208Y-12X20 temporary power distribution system provides a safe and reliable way for operators in industrial settings to tap into and utilize power sources independently of the work area. This unit provides an effective power distribution system for operators performing plant turnarounds, maintenance and cleaning in hazardous areas, equipment installations and repairs, and any activities requiring an alternative to native power sources. This portable transformer is designed to operate with 480v, three phase, 60hz which it then steps down to 1ph 120 VAC and 3ph 20Y VAC. The power distribution system on this portable substation makes 120VAC available via twelve 20A, 120V GFCI protected 5-20 duplex receptacles with weatherproof covers.
This unit is 100′ of Type-W line in power cord and a Crouse-Hinds NPJ-3484 to connect the substation to a primary 480v 3ph primary power supply. A fused disconnect provides primary line protection and supplies primary power to the 15kva transformer. This power distribution system conforms to UL 508A.
Secondary current is wired to a 120/208Y, 3 phase, 100 amp load center with main breaker for circuit protection. 120V line out protection is provided by twelve 20amp, 125 Volt, 1 pole breakers. Connection for 120V is through receptacles mounted on the side of the load center. Receptacles include twelve 5-20 120v, GFCI waterproof duplex receptacles. The load center is mounted within Nema 3R enclosure.
